Papers & Posters
Papers and posters on all aspects of the Australian cotton industry are invited. Beyond the conference theme, papers, reports and poster submissions are welcome on a wide range of industry issues.
Whilst our conference program does not provide for inclusion of all scientific research, the 15th Australian Cotton Conference wishes to provide a forum for researchers and professionals working in the cotton industry to present their work.
If you plan to exhibit a Poster at Conference, please register your intention with Guy Roth (guyroth@roth.net.au) by August 1 so that we can ensure we have provided you with space to display. Please bring your poster to Conference for display. If you are not attending Conference, have one of your peers bring it for display or post to Guy Roth to arrive no later than August 5. (Postal details below.)
Cotton CRC Competition
The current Cotton CRC ends in June 2012. This means the Australian Cotton Conference is possibly the last opportunity for us to help showcase your work.
We refuse to let this opportunity pass without making a splash - we need your posters!
There is (and has been) so much effort placed into the Cotton CRC and it has been difficult to adequately recognise this vast volume of work. Whilst the CRC is currently very focused on delivering outcomes, we must celebrate the hard work done to get there.
The Cotton CRC competition is open to all current and completed Cotton CRC projects - research and extension alike. You don't have to attend the Australian Cotton Conference to enter.
The four categories are:
Overall Winner - Greatest Impact on End Users
$2000 travel bursary, certificate and letter to your institution Head
Category 2 - Science Excellence
$1000 travel bursary, certificate and letter to your institution Head
Category 3 - Innovation in Science Communication
$1000 travel bursary, certificate and letter to your institution Head
Category 4 - Best Student Poster
$1000 travel bursary, certificate and letter to your institution Head
We will also be awarding highly commenced certificates.
The overall winner will be voted by conference delegates who successfully complete a quiz - a People's Choice.
The delegates who successfully complete the quiz and vote for the poster with the greatest impact on end users will go into a draw for a bottle of Grange Hermitage, generously supplied by Cotton CRC commercial partners Agbiotech and Growth Ag.
For the first 20 Cotton CRC poster applicants, we will print your poster (one copy only). Please liaise with Yvette - yvette.cunningham@cottoncrc.org.au or 02 6799 2471.
Please send your posters to Yvette Cunningham or Lynda George at Cotton CRC (ACRI, 2188 Kamilaroi Highway, Narrabri NSW 2390) or if you are attending Conference, bring it with you.
Good luck and remember it is all about impact, excellence and innovation!
